- Soon. Now Plumbb is a free service but we plan to monetize it with a simple ad model where we would split ad revenue with you.
- Well, actually it can by helping you learn more about your audience. Today, your primary interaction with your audience is via comments. But only a small number of readers comment, and typically the comments only relate to the topic at hand.
When you install Plumbb, however, you'll see what else interests your audience. With our StatsBack package you'll be able to see how your readers have modified your blogroll and which feeds they deleted and added. You'll be able to see which blogs are read the most and which posts got particular attention. With that information, you'll have more information about what topics interest your readers. - Yes, Plumbb can do this in several ways. First, Plumbb itself will increase traffic to your site as readers come back not only to check for new content from you but also to use the built-in reader to plumbb their favorite blogs in your blogspace.
In addition, Plumbb let's you interlink your content with posts in the blogroll and to recommend posts from other feeds in your blogroll (see POV question next). - Plumbb has a unique feature called Backlinks that allows you to link posts from your blogroll to posts in your archives or posts currently being shown. This feature drives traffic to your older posts when they relate to topics being discussed in other blogs. Plumbb assists you in backlinking by indexing your archives and automatically presenting you with possible candidates to link to each post you read. But linking is not automatic; you make the final decision.
In addition, Plumbb has a Recommended feature, which enables you to easily recommend posts (with one click) from other blogs in your blogroll. When your readers see the headlines for these posts in Plumbb, a small star will appear beside the ones you have recommended. Readers can also filter all the recommended posts in a given blog or across your entire blogroll by simply clicking the star icon on Plumbb. You can implement both of these features by using the Authors' Version of Plumbb. This version sits on your blog just like it does for your readers (giving you a sense of what they see). It allows you to use Plumbb as your RSS reader and with it, easily link-in and recommend posts for your readers as you go along. It's a great way to infuse the posts in your blogspace with your point of view. - Not at all. After setting it up and installing your blogroll (just use your OPML file), content is delivered automatically through Plumbb. Creating Backlinks and recommending articles takes a little time, but these functions are completely optional and only take seconds to use once they're set up.
